There’s a palpable start to the month as Uranus stations retrograde today through January of 2025. When the outer planets station retrograde, it signifies an inward turning of that planet’s energy. As Uranus is the planet of change and liberation, this energy becomes more introspective. Instead of external upheavals, we might experience an inner revolution –reassessing our personal freedom, originality, and areas where we feel constrained or stagnant.
This period often brings a review of changes we've recently made or considered. We might question whether the changes align with our true desires or if they were reactions to external pressures.
Uranus retrograde can also surface unresolved issues from the past, especially those related to freedom, individuality, and breaking away from conformity. This is an ideal time to address the issues that arise and find new ways to approach them.
With this retrograde happening in the sign of Taurus (financial matters, possessions, and personal values) there could be unexpected shifts in our financial situations, prompting us to rethink how we manage resources. It might be time to innovate or change our approach to money and possessions.

Pluto regresses into Capricorn
This is the final visit Pluto will have in Capricorn for about 250 years. Once again, at 29° of Capricorn, Pluto will be cleaning house and making final changes to all things Capricorn - institutions, tradition, authority, structure, and ambition. This is a period of introspection and transformation. As a society, this is our last chance to question and reassess the power dynamics associated with Capricorn in our lives, especially in professional or institutional contexts. There could be a focus on dismantling old systems that no longer serve a purpose or are oppressive.

This is personally one of the most fascinating transits and a placement I have loved studying in natal charts. Mars is associated with assertiveness, heat, and a direct approach, and is considered weakened in Cancer. Cancer's unique influence tempers this fire, but with a focus on protection, family, and emotional security. Now through November 4th, this transit brings a blend of decisiveness and sensitivity, influencing how we pursue our goals and express our desires.
During Mars' transit through Cancer, our actions are deeply influenced by our feelings and emotional instincts. We may find ourselves driven not just by ambition, but by a desire to protect and nurture those we care about. This period encourages us to take action on matters that impact our home, family, and emotional well-being. Whether it's tackling home improvement projects, addressing family dynamics, or making changes that create a greater sense of security, our motivations are likely to stem from a desire to create a safe and comfortable environment.

Today, it’s likely that we’ll hear another surprising bit of information. There is also the possibility of a technical or scientific breakthrough, or technical disturbance.
